History
William Hawse has seen the rise of heroes in Paragon City. For most
of his life, he has watched from the sidelines since he was not born
with super powers or magic abilities. In his mundane life he worked
as a chemist for various research laboratories. The grand life of a
hero and adventurer has called to him, inspiring him to work late into
the nights after work. William put all his energies into developing
chemical weapons that could be used to fight the gangs, mutants, and
other supernatural threats to the city. Unfortunately his creations
could not be fitted to bullets or modern weaponry, the chemicals are
too delicate or the bullets are too small to carry enough of the mixture
to be effective. So he constructed special arrows that break on impact
and deliver the payloads. Consequently, Will has had to cultivate skills
as an archer.
Special Abilities
Being human, William relies on being skillful more than physical, his
skills at archery are considered to be more than Olympic level. William's
best shot consisted of him splitting one of his own arrows after hitting
a bulls eye from fifty yards away. Among other abilities, he is an excellent
gadgeteer, making his own devices as he goes along increasing his arsenal
of powers.
Equipment
William carries with him a bow made out of a strong combination of alloys
and space age materials, his bow is considered to be a ninety pound
test pull, but with his knowledge of engineering William has made it
that he only has to apply twenty pounds to pull back the nylon, Kevlar,
Teflon weave string. His arrows consist of an array of hyper-titanium
shafts, nylon feathers to stabilize flight, and threaded arrow head
containing various effective chemicals and compounds, William can keep
reusing the shafts after he fires an arrow. Preferring to retrieve and
arrow shaft instead of leaving it behind unless it's damage beyond repair.
Other gadgets include a pair of thruster boots that allow him to leap
from rooftop to rooftop and a cloaking device of his own design. To
protect himself William also wears a set of Kevlar lined clothes.
