Dark Vigil
History
Jacob Vigil was once a very renowned stage magician, but in reality
it was only partially tricks and devices he used. He had been studying
real magic, under the tutelage of a powerful retired Sorcerer, and in
doing so planned to avenge his parents death at the hands of monsters
from another dimension. And so he devised ways to focus his magical
abilities, ether directly or by enchanting objects to contain his potent
spells. When he was deemed ready by his mentor he went forth, and met
the monsters on their own ground. One by one they fell to his powers
over flame, that coupled with enchanted items he had forged made the
monsters no match. Once had destroyed the monsters he went back to Earth,
with an oath to protect others against such things from ever happening
again.
Special Abilities
Jacob can cast powerful fire based spells, as well as to an extent is
resistant to fire. His fighting abilities are a bit above normal, but
he prefers distance. He has a few spells at his disposal including making
himself invisible, flying, and casting a haste spell on himself to make
him a bit faster. Some of the gadgets he carries with him are actually
powerful enchanted items and can only be used by him.
Equipment
Jacob has a few items at his disposal, he has a floating orb that will
bend his powers allowing him to, if necessary, redirect his attacks
to they hit dead on. His pouch of “Spiked Sand” allows him
to toss a sand- like substance to the ground making his opponents slow,
as well as damaging them at the dust turn into spiked spheres upon contact
with the ground. His detonation disks can be set like a mine on the
ground and any opponents passing by will trigger it to explode.
